Annual ECW Christmas Soirée – November 28th 6pm

Our Annual ECW Christmas Soirée will be held this year at Pier 1 on WEDNESDAY, November 28 at 6:00PM. The cost will be $20.00 per person, paid in advance. This includes 4 soups, a salad, a dessert, and a nonalcoholic beverage, wine will be available for purchase. You must RSVP no later than Saturday, November 24th. Please RSVP to Kathy Mullen.
Our mission this year is to provide sneakers and socks to the children in the community and North East Elementary School. Please bring your sneakers and socks to the dinner. (See Heart & Sole Ministry info below)

Lot’s going on this weekend!

  • Breakfast with Bill at 9:00am. Youth of the parish are invited to breakfast with Bill Weisel. Meet Bill at 9:00AM in the Parish Center.
  • Blessing of the Backpacks at both services.
  • Commissioning of our Church School Teachers at our 10:00am service.
  • 11:30AM Planning Meeting for youth group activities; Parish Center
  • 1:00PM Discernment Committee, Vestry House
  • The 12-Step Recovery Service; 6:00PM in the church followed by a light supper in the Parish Center. This service is for those in recovery and their loved ones.

At Sunday, September 9th’s 10:00AM service, join our Director of Music, Steve McBride, in welcoming the choir back from their summer break!
Do you enjoy singing? If so, please speak to Steve about joining the choir! Maybe just a lesson or two can give you the confidence you need to join in!
Practices are on Thursday evenings from 7:00-8:30PM in the church.

Send in your Pictures!

Did you keep your shy or unruly pet at home last year and they weren’t blessed at our Annual Blessing of the Animals?
Last year, many of you showed pictures of your family pets from your cell phones—and asked for a blessing! Those attending were unable to see your beautiful pet’s picture. To solve this, we ask that you send your photo to us in advance—so we can include it in a slide show to be shown on our large screen during our event. In that way, everyone will see your family pet and Fr. John can do a one-time general blessing for all stay-at-home pets.
Please send your favorite photo of your pet; better yet, a photo of you and your pet is encouraged. Also, remember to include your pet’s name. Send photos to Karen Schaeffer or bring to the church by the October 1 st deadline.
