Parish News: A transformation…with signs, paint and a clean-up!

201802 newDuring our Parish Center renovation, we discussed the need to better link our church building with our Parish Center. One way to accomplish this goal, is with noticeable signage.
The next time you are at the Parish Center, you will see new signs that identify our entrances. The signs feature our new St. Mary Anne’s logo and traditional Episcopal colors. A few more signs will be installed within the next week, weather permitting.
A future plan is to evaluate and determine our church and graveyard signage, too.

Our Lenten Suppers have Started – Sunday Evenings!

Our world is pretty chaotic. Learn how to find calm in the midst of this chaos, and join us for our four Lenten Suppers and Discussion.
They are scheduled on Sunday, February 18 and 25th, March 11 and 18th from 4:30-6:30.
A light supper of soup, salad and bread will be served, followed by a video and discussion on Max Lucado’s book: “Anxious For Nothing: Finding Calm in a Chaotic World”.
We encourage participants to purchase the study guide for $6.00. The workbook will be available for purchase but we have a limited number.

St. Mary Anne’s has a new logo for the Garden Market!
Our new logo is clean and simple and allows the St. Mary Anne’s logo to be prominent.
“Garden Market” stands out with a few simple graphics and can be used for the next several years with appropriate dates 201805 SMA-GardenMarket-logoand times. Our new logo has a transparent background so it can be placed on any color background photo or design that we choose as we move through the colors of spring. We can lay it on different photos moving towards the market, but as a logo it becomes the dominant theme and the background is just for artistic effects. The colors for the logo will work with many backgrounds.  This new logo will work for our website, our Facebook page, and printed materials.
Thanks to Michael Brown who worked tirelessly with graphic designer David Byers to develop this updated look which will serve the publicity needs for the Garden Market for several years to come!
 So, as spring approaches you will see this new logo, more and more, as we advertise our 21st Garden Market on May 4th and 5th!

Shrove Tuesday Pancake Supper

pancakesAs in years past, we will enjoy yummy pancakes the night before our Lenten season begins. Join us for a pancake feast on Tuesday, February 13th from 5:00 to 6:30PM in the Parish Hall.
Donations of syrup, butter, or pancake mix (with water only) before Feb 10th would be welcome!
The cost of this event is a free-will offering to benefit our Youth Group. Questions? See Janice Flood or Christy Sadler.
