Family Train Day was a great success! We made about $1500 for St. Vincent’s School in Haiti, and perhaps equally important, once again St. Mary Anne’s demonstrated its hospitality to many people from the local community!

Men’s Pancake Breakfast
A SMA Men’s Group called “2:42” is making a return to the parish! This group promotes fellowship, learning and service and is based on Acts 2:42: “They devoted themselves to the apostles’ teaching and to fellowship, to the breaking of bread and to prayer.”Men of the parish are invited to a Pancake Breakfast on Saturday, January 28th in the Parish Hall from 8:00-9:30AM.
After the breakfast, there will be a short planning meeting to discuss future activities–such as monthly meeting topics, potential service project ideas, day trips, etc. Men–bring your ideas and appetite! RSVP to Father John.
Winning Float Entry!
Nancy and Tim Leizear won 3rd Place in the non-profit float category at the Cecil County Christmas Parade on December 3rd! This adorable float, sitting on top of their golf cart, advertised our Christmas Cookie Walk for the following Saturday! Tim wore a Gingerbread costume that day and followed the float. Nancy has been wearing the prize ribbon ever since!
Rotating Homeless Shelter
The Rotating Homeless Shelter (January 23-February 4th). As in previous years, we are coordinating efforts with The Meeting Ground to provide assistance to the area homeless. We will be responsible for evening meals from January 23rd – February 6th; and responsible for staffing from January 30th – February 6th. Daily hours: 4:30 pm- 7:30 am. Broken out into 4 shifts per day. Additional coverage needed on weekends to cover for van drivers. Please consider how you can help this important ministry. - The Garden Market Committee (8:00AM-10:00AM)-Vestry House. Plans for our 20th Annual Garden Market on May 5-6th are now underway! There are lots of opportunities to help with this fun community event!
- The Pastoral Care Committee (10:00AM-11:00AM)-Parish Hall. Do you have a heart for visiting a homebound parishioner? Perhaps, you enjoy making a pot of soup, or a simple meal, for a sick parishioner? If so, please attend this meeting to find out how you can help.
- The Cemetery Committee (11:00-Noon)-Parish Hall. Join this newly formed group with an interest in preserving and maintaining our historic graveyard.
