St. Mary Anne’s Mission Committee has hosted a model train show in the Parish Hall for the past ten years. Model train enthusiasts chase the cold winter blues away with their passion for model railroading. Visitors have been treated to up to nine working model train layouts featuring Standard gauge, O gauge, S, HO, and N gauge trains. The five-hour free event attracts dozens of visitors. Through the sale of raffle tickets and refreshments, in addition to donations, recent events have raised in excess $1400.00 for St. Vincent’s School for the Handicapped in Haiti.
